The motto at Prudence Home and Design is “live colorfully,” so it should come as no surprise that I love a project that fully embraces colorful design. And that’s exactly what I got to do with the studio for Happily Eva After, the lifestyle blog and business created by mom, actress and entrepreneur Eva Amurri.

As her business headquarters, Eva wanted the studio to reflect the design aesthetic of Happily Eva After. Her inspiration was light and bright – vivid hues set against a crisp, white backdrop for a colorful design that pops and enhances the studio’s natural light. Eva also loves mixing patterns and textures, and was clear that no matter what elements we introduced, the end result would feel cohesive and bring the Happily Eva After brand to life.

With her vision in place, the Prudence Home and Design team got to work, using furniture, art, fixtures, fabrics and wall coverings to infuse color into the space – plus the brand’s personality. One of our favorite elements is the funky, colorful scarab wallpaper in the bathroom. It’s just so fun!

Beyond creating a space that captured the essence of her brand, Eva was determined to make the renovation accessible by using decor and other elements anyone can find at their favorite home furnishing store. We outfitted the studio with eclectic, colorful accents from places like Wayfair, Target, West Elm, Ikea, Terrain, CB2, Anthropologie.

What an honor it was to help Eva take the next step with her business, which started with an idea and a laptop and now has its own headquarters, complete with a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom! Not only that, but the Happily Eva Studio truly represents the brand palette and its founder with bright colors, femininity and a touch of whimsy. We also worked with Eva to transform her historic Westport house into a modern, colorfully chic home.
