I was honored to take on this custom interior design project for actress, mom, and entrepreneur Eva Amurri, who also happens to be the lifestyle blogger behind Happily Eva After. Eva wanted me to create a modern, yet traditional, home that exuded her love of colors and mixing patterns – which we all know is right up my alley!

Our work was cut out for us with this colorful custom interior design project as it involved full interior design upgrades and renovations throughout her entire Westport home and studio. No space was left untouched: from the bedrooms to the snuggle nook, kitchen and dining room to the lounge and living room, book nook and playroom to the powder room and even the stairs, we infused color, mixed patterns and textures, and added carefully selected bespoke accents to transform this home from historic to colorfully chic with a hint of edge!

This project gave us the opportunity to blend all facets of custom interior design statements throughout the home and showcase brands and products that elevate the spaces we work in. We turned to Flat Vernacular and Schumacher for bold fabrics and wall coverings; unique trade vendors for distinctive furnishings; Noir Furniture for eclectic and eye-catching pieces; and Circa Lighting and Urban Electric Company for designer light fixtures. All kitchen appliances were upgraded to Thermador (except for the Viking stove, which came with the home). Samsung Frame TVs rounded out our improvements.

The result? A wonderfully colorful escape in the heart of a coastal New England town that strikes the right balance between style and whimsy – perfect for a young family anchored by the vibrant and talented Eva. It captures the essence of every custom interior design project my team and I take on – fun, vivid, and distinct!
